Prof. Shashinath Jha deliverd his lecuture on ” Environment, Environmental Pollution and Its Impacts on Public Health and Environment. He discussed about the different aspect of environment and environmental pollution such as air pollution, automobile pollution, water pollution,and eutorfication, industrial pollution, climate change, ozone layers and ODS etc alongwith their impacts on public health and environment. He also share the information about how to mitigate and reduces the ill impacts of these environmental pollutions.

He broadly covered following issues in his presentation and discussion.

• Environmental Pollutions (more focus on Industrial and water pollution). • Impacts of Environmental Pollution on Public health and Ecosystems • Status of environmental pollution of Nepal and global issues • Linkage of Environmental Pollution with Access to Information, Public Participation and Access to Justice. • Linkage of Environmental Pollution and SEAM Nepal initiative to address the Industrial Pollution in the Dharan –Biratnagar Indistrial Corridor area.
