Bolivia Inaugurates the System of Environmental Information

La Paz, August 5, 2010. All people interested in knowing the environmental state of any activity, construction or project at the national level, and if it complies with the environmental regulations, can access to the National System of Environmental Information through the web site of the Ministry of the Environment and Water.

The National System of Environmental Information (SNIA) recently presented is a great achievement because is the only one where it is available environmental information of the whole country and counts with the participation of all the departmental governments of the country.

Information on the Environmental registers, related rules, the National Register of Environmental Consultants, control of environmental activities, networks of monitoring air quality, activities, constructions and projects, information on their legal representatives, location, etc. are going to be accessible for all Bolivians and institutions interested in environmental management.

“To deliver this new and important service, the Ministry of the Environment and Water has been presenting it in each departmental government of the country. This step forward is relevant since it is going to make transparent the environmental management of the country”, sustained the Eng. Mirso Alcalá of the Direction of the Environment and Climate Change of the Vice Ministry of the Environment.

Spanish Se inaugura Sistema Nacional de Información Ambiental

La Paz, agosto 5, 2010.- Todas las personas interesadas en conocer el estado de cualquier actividad, obra o proyecto nivel nacional, saber si estos cumplen con las normas ambientales, podrán hacerlo accediendo al Sistema Nacional de Información Ambiental a través de la página web del Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Agua. El Servicio Nacional de Información Ambiental (SNIA) recientemente presentado, se constituye en un logro de suma importancia ya que es el único que dispone de información ambiental de todo el país y es elaborado con la participación de todas las gobernaciones del país. Información sobre Fichas Ambientales, normas relacionadas con el tema ambiental, el Registro Nacional de Consultores Ambientales (RENCA), control de la calidad ambiental, redes de monitoreo de calidad del aire-red MONICA, actividades, obras y proyectos, información sobre sus representantes legales, ubicación etc, serán accesibles para todos los bolivianos e instituciones interesadas en la gestión ambiental.
“Para difundir la existencia de este novedoso e importante Servicio el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Agua está realizando la presentación del mismo, en las distintas gobernaciones del país. Este adelanto es relevante en tanto permitirá transparentar la gestión ambiental del país” aseveró el Ing. Mirso Alcalá de la Dirección de Medio Ambiente y Cambios Climáticos del Viceministerio de Medio Ambiente.
