BDCPC is busy providing training and assistance for the TAI Democratic Republic of the Congo team; raising awareness on access to participation; developing information materials on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) legal process, initiating teams to work with government officials on EIAs, and developing a simplified version of EIA guidelines; creating a link between government and local communities to enable communities to benefit through poverty alleviation strategies; and conducting a TAI pilot poverty assessment.
