Yale Conference on Environmental Governance & Democracy
Yale University is holding a very important conference on environmental governance and democracy from 10-11 May, 2008. “Bridging research and capacity development” is a key goal of this conference. The event brings together academic experts and practitioners from governments, inter-governmental organizations, civil society and the private sector.
The purpose of bringing academics and practitioners together was to “take stock of contemporary research and knowledge gaps at the intersection of institutions, public participation and environmental sustainability”. The TAI Secretariat (World Resources Institute) is a co-sponsor of the conference. Several TAI partners are participating and making presentations.
More details of the conference is available on the Yale website at-http://www.yale.edu/envirocenter/envdem/index.htm
