Question to Judge Wright: Follow up to Greening Justice Launch

Though there were many issues covered at the Greening Justice Book Lauch, (which can be viewed here: http://www.accessinitiative.org/resource/greening-justice) there are questions that still remain. We would like to continue the discussion on Green Courts here.

To begin the conversation I am posting a question which was sent in from Kerem Kayhan of Turkey studying in Oregon’s LLM program:

For Merideth or the whole panel: In developing countries, if judges decide against government and against development, what are some other procedures, besides security of tenure, that are likely to guarantee independence?
