Tunisia just passed an ATI law this makes it 10 countries in Africa with a law.
Ghana, Liberia, Kenya and Tanzania have all put forward plans to be part of Open Government Partnership
African AU Model Law consultations continue and implementation guidelines will also accompany the law.
19 AU member states have explicit constitutional rights to access to information - Burkina Faso, Cameroon Cape Verde, DRC, Eritrea Ghana Guinea- Bissau, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda , South Africa, Senegal South Sudan, Tanzania ,Uganda and Zimbabwe.
