Costa Rica's National Coalition is reactivated after Third Global Gathering in Uganda
Jan 28, 2011

Costa Rica’s TAI National Coalition has been reactivated after CoopeSoliDar R.L’s participation in TAI’s Global Gathering in Uganda. Part of the commitments acquired in the Latin American regional meeting, held during the Global Gathering, was to retake contact between the member organizations of the National Coalition, and to regenerate efforts in strengthening the Coalition. Following up on this commitment, CoopeSoliDar R.L. organized a first meeting, on the 11th of January, with FUNPADEM and Justicia para La Naturaleza, member organizations of Costa Rica’s Coalition, with the objective of sharing what was discussed at the Global Gathering, and reaffirm the commitment of our organizations in reactivating the National Coalition. A second meeting was held on the 26th of January 2011, as a follow up of the first meeting, and the following outcomes and agreements were reached:
1. The three member organizations expressed the commitment of reactivating the National Coalition. 2. A Memorandum of Understanding will be developed by the member organizations. The MoU will set the ground rules for the work, structure and membership of the National Coalition. 3. A Code of Ethics will be developed by the member organizations. This will constitute the platform of values our work and relationship will be based upon. 4. The MoU and the Code of Ethics will be discussed and agreed by the member organizations during a third meeting, scheduled for the 14th of February 2011. 5. A call to other organizations will be done to open up the membership to join the National Coalition. A meeting for information to interested organizations will be scheduled after the 14th of February 2011.
