Los tres órganos de gobierno del DF, entes autónomos, y organismos de la sociedad civil, se comprometieron a fortalecer la transparencia en la capital del país como instrumento mediante el cual la sociedad pueda acceder a la información e influir en la definición de las políticas públicas, para lo cual –coincidieron- se requiere mejorar la Ley de Acceso a la Información Pública, y dotar de una mayor autonomía y más presupuesto al Instituto de Acceso a la Información Pública (InfoDF).

La 2ª Feria de la Transparencia, tuvo lugar en el Zócalo de la Ciudad de México con motivo del Día Internacional del Derecho a la Información reunió a más de 90 instituciones capitalinas entre organizaciones de la sociedad civil, entes públicos obligados por la Ley de Transparencia y órganos garantes de otras entidades federativas.

El comisionado presidente del Instituto de Acceso a la Información Pública del Distrito Federal (InfoDF), Oscar Guerra Ford, especificó que el objetivo de esta Segunda Feria es promover el derecho de acceso a la información pública, así como todas las dimensiones relacionadas con la transparencia gubernamental, acercando a las organizaciones de la sociedad civil, instituciones de gobierno y órganos garantes de la transparencia en el país, con los ciudadanos del Distrito Federal.

El subsecretario de gobierno del Distrito Federal, Juan José García Ochoa, con la representación del jefe de Gobierno capitalino, Marcelo Ebrard, aseguró que en la capital del país la transparencia es una política de Estado, la cual habrá de seguirse impulsando para dar a los ciudadanos instrumentos para la toma de decisiones.

Tomás Severino Ortega, director de Cultura Ecológica, A.C., dijo que el desafío es socializar el derecho de acceso a la información y convertirlo en puente para acceder a otros derechos como vivienda, salud y educación. En el evento se presentaron una serie de actividades culturales, artísticas y lúdicas, acciones de salud y orientación por parte de instituciones como la Secretaría de Educación Pública y el Heroico Cuerpo de Bomberos.

Inauguration of the 2nd Fair of Transparency in the Zocalo of Mexico City

The three organs of government of Mexico City, autonomous bodies and civil society organizations, committed to strengthening transparency in the nation’s capital as an instrument through which society can access information and influence public policy definition, for which “agreed” is necessary to improve the Law on Access to Public Information, and provide greater autonomy and budget to the Institute for Access to Public Information (InfoDF).

The 2nd Fair of Transparency, held in the Zocalo of Mexico City to mark the International Day for the Right to Information, gathered more than 90 institutions capital’s between organizations of civil society, public authorities bound by the Law of Transparency and oversight bodies of other states.

The commissioner and president of the Institute for Access to Public Information of the Federal District (InfoDF), Oscar Guerra Ford, specified that the purpose of the Second Fair is to promote the right of access to public information and all aspects related to transparency government closer to civil society organizations, government agencies and oversight bodies of transparency in the country, with citizens of the Federal District.

Undersecretary of Federal District Government, Juan Jose Garcia Ochoa, depicting the head of government capital, Marcelo Ebrard, said in the capital openness is a state policy, which will continue to push to give citizens tools for decision making.

Tomas Severino Ortega, director of Cultura,Ecologica of the Access Initiative Mexico said the challenge is to socialize the right of access to information and make bridge to other rights such as housing, health and education. The event presented a series of cultural, artistic and recreational activities, health activities and guidance from institutions like the Ministry of Education and the Heroic Fire Department.
