Progress toward the Second Fair of Transparency, Mexico City

El pasado 14 de agosto se llevó a cabo en las oficinas del Instituto de Acceso a la Información Pública del Distrito Federal (INFO DF), la más reciente reunión del Comité organizador de la 2ª Feria de la Transparencia. Entre los temas que se definieron y acordaron entre representantes de sociedad civil, de la Comisión de Derechos Humanos, el Tribunal Superior del Justicia, la Subsecretaria de Gobierno y Comisionados del INFODF, destacan la asignación del espacio físico para la 2ª Feria, donde después de arduas negociaciones se volvió a conseguir la Plaza central de la ciudad, también conocida como Zócalo, el 28 de septiembre, Día Internacional del Derecho a Saber. Además se revisaron y definieron las herramientas y estrategias generales de comunicación y difusión, así como el lema del evento: “Infórmate y date color”

The most recent meeting of the organizing committee of the 2nd Fair Transparency was held last August 14th at the offices of the Institute for Access to Public Information of the Federal District (INFO-DF). The established and agreed topics between representatives of Civil Society, Human Rights Commission, the High Court of Justice, the Under-Secretary of the Interior and INFODF Commissioners, included the allocation of physical space for the 2nd Access to Information Fair. In this regard, after difficult negotiations, the city’s central Plaza (Zócalo), was was tablished as the location for the fair on September 28th, the International Day of the Right to Know. Further more, tools and strategies for communication and dissemination were reviewed and defined, as well as the slogan of the event being: “Inform yourself and Realize” – Infórmate y Date Color”

Particularmente en el caso de la sociedad civil, Cultura Ecológica A.C. de la Iniciativa de Acceso México, como organización representante, se comprometió a girar las invitaciones a más de 60 OSC para que participen, de igual forma se estableció la meta de hacer una convocatoria especializada para organizaciones e instituciones académicas, además de la invitación para el público en general, así como potenciar al máximo las redes sociales y las páginas web.
